The latest count at www.mapdex.org shows 29 Australian ArcIMS and OGC WMS servers pushing nearly 200 image and feature services and publishing well over a thousand layers of information online. See server listing below.
Though this sounds impressive, many of the layers are apparent duplicates or of unknown version. Also, it would be nice if we can start remembering to set our projections – else what is the point of trying to use one anothers data if they cannot be compared in the same place.
